Western Souvenirs…an OL’ Time candy shoppe… and the best homemade fudge west of the Mississippi!

Mother Lode Mercantile is located in Goldfield Ghost Town, just east of Phoenix along the world famous Apache Trail – State Route 88. Goldfield is the only authentic ghost town in the Phoenix area, and was once one of the largest operating gold mines during the 1880s. Today, the ghost town has been resurrected and offers a slew of fun things to do with the family.
While you’re pokin’ around the wood planked sidewalks of Goldfield, be sure to stop in the Mother Lode and sample some of our world-renowned homemade fudge. We offer up over a dozen delicious flavors of fudge, but our claim to fame is our very own originals – Prickly Pear and Gold Nugget Fudge.

Our Gold Nugget fudge is a spectacular shot of color and flavor. We begin the magic by encasing a thick vein of soft golden caramel into our delicious chocolate fudge. Then we fold in roasted and salted macadamia nuts, and top that with Gold chocolate rocks. If that isn’t enough to send you to the moon, we then top it off with sprinkles of REAL 23.5K GOLD! The combination of sweet and nutty with a touch of salt, is absolutely decadent.

Our Prickly Pear Fudge is made from a secret recipe which includes morsels of the sweet fruit from the Prickly Pear Cactus after it has ripened. It’s light and fruity, but a 10+ on the sweet-o-meter. Pace yourself on this one or you could end up in a sugar induced coma!

Both of these fudges are our very own originals – you won’t find them anywhere else in the world. And all of our fudges travel real well by plane, train and automobile, so don’t forget to TAKHOMABOX to share with your friends and families back home.
